The 5th Annual Raise Your Voice Music and Arts Festival will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from noon-7 p.m. at Monessen City Park.
The festival will feature local bands of varying genres, as well as local artists and vendors. This year’s festival will be held in memory of Taylor Egidi, a 2008 Monessen High School graduate, who passed away last year.
The Raise Your Voice Festival benefits Monessen Communities That Care (CTC), an initiative started in 2001. CTC is a research-based youth delinquency prevention program that focuses on combatting risk factors in Monessen’s youth. The purposes of the festival are to: give youth something positive to do and connect them to music and art; connect youth and adults; and bring Monessen and the surrounding communities together in one place for a positive purpose. Admission to the festival is free. Food will be available for purchase. If you are interested in displaying artwork or photography or in being a vendor, please contact raiseyourvoice.monessen@gmail.com, or visit our Facebook event page by searching “5th Annual Raise Your Voice Festival”.
