The Whitehall Borough Historical Society recently hosted a program with author Tom McMillan on his book Flight 93 and also awarded their History Student of the year award. Rakshya Kafle, a senior at Baldwin High School, received the History Student of the Year Award, and received a plaque to take home.

In addition, her name is inscribed on the large plaque which will be on display in the Whitehall Borough Building in the Society’s display case and three books purchased in her name, one for her to keep, one for the Baldwin High School Library and another to the Whitehall Borough Library. Rakshya also received a check for $500 for her future education.
