School News

Ms. Megan Van Fossan has already been visiting spring musicals, concerts and programs around the district as she transitions into her new position as Superintendent of Ringgold School District.


Ringgold Elementary School North (RESN) students in Mrs. Wendy Parzich’s and Mrs. Kelli Schmeltz’s social studies classes participated in a program called "Heartland Honor Flight" for veterans.


Old Trails BPW honored students of the month for April and May in the areas of sports and technology.

Monessen/Rostraver Rotary President Kristen Joseph presents a certificate to Santino V. Lopez, the organization’s May Student of the Month.

Monessen High School senior Santino V. Lopez was named as May Student of the Month by the Monessen/Rostraver Rotary Club. Santino has enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and will leave for basic training at Paris Island, NC in July.

The WJHSD high school and middle school future problem solving teams, led by Mr. Andrew Capretto, gifted support teacher at Pleasant Hills Middle School, earned first, second and third place honors at the state-level competition held the weekend of April 21, 2018 in Harrisburg, PA.
