ANNUAL JEWELRY SALE – A gently used costume jewelry sale will take place on Friday, Nov. 8 and Saturday, Nov. 9 from 9:00AM - 6:00PM at the South Park Community Center, 2675 Brownsville Road, in South Park. VETERANS DAY MILITARY RECOGNITION MASS - Saints Joachim and Anne Catholic Parish will host a Veterans Day Military Recognition Mass on Sunday, November 10 at 10:30AM at Queen of the Rosary Church- 530 Michigan Avenue, Glassport. STEPPIN' OUT SUNDAY THANKFUL DANCE - Sunday November 10, from 5:00PM - 9:00PM at Elks Lodge 577, 718 Beulah Rd. Turtle Creek. Admission is $10, and a bar will be available. Free parking at the Elks and at Kuhns. Bobby D will be playing all your favorites from the 50's and up, swing dances, line dances, waltz, cha-cha. EVERYONE WELCOME. CONCERT TO HONOR VETERANS - Heaven Bound Ministries Inc. will present their 2024 Veterans Concert on Sunday, November 10, at 5:00PM.   The concert will be held at the Emmanuel U.P. Church, located at 480 Route 519 in Eighty Four PA. (Exit 25 on I-70). This is an evening of beautiful patriotic music to pay a well-deserved tribute to our servicemen and women and their families. The community is invited to join us in this tribute. The concert is free, first-come, first served seating. VETERANS DAY MEMORIAL PROGRAM - The Southwestern Pennsylvania Registered Nurses Club will hold their 32nd annual Veterans Day Memorial Program on Monday, November 11 at 12:00 noon.  The program will be held at the Nurses War Memorial Monuments on Corrigan Drive in South Park. All military nurses will be honored and a wreath will be placed at their monuments.  VFW Post 6664, Library will also participate to honor all military and place a wreath at their Purple Heart Monument.  Guest of honor will be Heather L. Kowger, MS-CRNA, BS Emergency Medicine, BSN and Lt. Colonel USAF.   Other participants will be Father Jon Brzek, US Navy Chaplin (Ret.) and Parochial Vicar of St Joan of Arc/St Catherine Laboure Parish. Bagpiper Bradley Wilson will play military music.  The public is welcome.  Photography is appreciated.

SPECIAL CONCERT TO HONOR VETERANS - Mon Valley Academy for the Arts (MVAA) will present the Sam Bill Legacy Band, featuring the acclaimed Take 5 Brass quintet, in a special concert to honor our veterans on November 11, from 7:00PM to 9:00PM. The event will be held at the Sons of Italy (Frank Ricco Lodge) at 16 Race Street, Brownsville, PA.
This heartfelt evening of music and tribute is open to all, with free admission for veterans in recognition of their service. General admission is $10, and refreshments will be available, including a cash bar and pizza for purchase. The MVAA invites community members to nominate a special veteran to be recognized during the event. CLOTHES 4 U MINISTRY - The Clothes 4 U ministry of the First United Methodist Church, 200 State Street, Belle Vernon, PA will be open to the public on Tuesdays, November 12 and 26 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. We do not charge for our clothing. We are strictly donations in and donation out. Our fall and winter clothing is out and ready to go. Currently you are able to pick 10 items per adult at no charge.

SOUTH HILLS COIN CLUB MEETING - The monthly meeting of the South Hills Coin Club will be held Tuesday November 12 at 7:30PM at the Bethel Park Municipal building located at 5100 West Library Ave in Bethel Park. All members and the general public are invited. This month’s program will be about Mel Fisher- A man and his treasure.   A 50/50 will be offered and children’s prizes will be awarded. CHRISTMAS WREATH AUCTION AND PASTA LUNCH - Long Branch Community Grange will hold a benefit Christmas Wreath Auction on November 16 from 12 noon until 3:00PM. People are encouraged to create a wreath, decorate a tree or whatever else they wish and bring it to the Grange on November 14. Be sure to designate your favorite charity and 100% of the money raised by its sale will go to that charity. Santa Claus will also be visiting that day, and you will be able to take pictures as the children talk to Santa. There will be a pasta lunch available for a free will offering. SOUTH PARK WOMEN’S CLUB - The South Park Women’s Club (SPWC) meeting on Monday November 18 will begin at 7:00PM with guest speaker, Dr.  Juliette Copa, DPM ( Podiatrist). Dr. Coppa is a board-certified ankle and foot surgeon.  Podiatry is the taking care of peoples’ ankles and feet.  She will talk about the care of one’s feet in order to prevent many foot and other health issues.  There will be a Q&A period, in order for meeting attendees to garner important info for the health of their fee/ankles from Dr. Coppa. Women are welcome from other communities, to join them Nov. 18 at the South Park Twp. Community Ctr. Bldg. Brownsville Rd. in South Park Township, (across from Bavarian Village). After the speaker, there will be refreshments provided by club members and then a short business meeting.  Come as a guest and then consider joking the SPWC as a member.  Bring a friend, neighbor with you for this special evening.

PROGRAM ON LOCAL MINES - The monthly public meeting of the South Park Historical Society will be held on November 19 at 7:00PM at the Library Fire Hall on Route 88.   The topic is "A Historical Review of the Mines in South Park" presented by Dan Stellute.   This promises to cover an interesting period in Snowden/South Park's past. There is no charge for attending and we offer free refreshments.

KAUFMANN’S DEPARTMENT STORE WINDOWS - The Brentwood Historical Society will present an informative and entertaining program that is perfect for the holiday season, and is sure to evoke fond memories. ‘Kaufmann’s Department Store Windows’ will be presented by Robert O. Stakeley of the Senator John Heinz History Center on November 20, at 7:00PM, at the Brentwood Public Library, located at 3501 Brownsville Road, in Brentwood, 15227. Bob’s presentation will include many never-before-seen nor published images and archival materials. Those attending the program are invited to share with the audience their stories and memories of Kaufmann’s.

‘JOY OF CHRISTMAS’ CRAFT SHOW - The Labouré Ladies Guild of St. Catherine Labouré Parish will sponsor its annual "Joy of Christmas" Craft Show on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 9:00AM to 3:30PM at St. Louise de Marillac School and Parish Center, located at 320 McMurray Road, Upper St. Clair. 115 Artists and Crafters, Bake Sale, Crafts Raffle, 50/50, and lunch/snacks available for purchase. Admission is $2 and includes one ticket for the Crafts Raffle. Due to the order of the USC Fire Marshall, strollers are not permitted inside the craft show.

OLDIES DANCE - An Oldies Dance will be sponsored by the CTVFC at the Carroll Township Social Center on Saturday November 23 from 7:00PM – 10:00PM. DJ is Ralph Trilli.
