Municipal News

The West Newton Community Singers are proud to present their 40th Annual Christmas Concert, titled “The Spirit of Christmas.”

The program will feature Christmas works including, “Hodie Christus Natus Est” Arranged by Cristi Millerand, “Fum, Fum, Fum” Arranged by Alice Parker and Robert Shaw, “The 12 Days of a Re-gifted Christmas” by Greg Gilpin and “Hallelujah Chorus” from Handel’s “Messiah.” The group is under the direction of Richard Carson and is accompanied by Lauren Cross.

The group is comprised of about 20 members from West Newton and the surrounding area sharing a love of music, Come out and hear us as we celebrate Christmas with songs to please everyone .

The date for the concert is Friday, December 9 at 7:30 p.m. at the West Newton United Presbyterian Church, located on Third and Main Streets.

Advance tickets are available for adults at $6 and $3 for students at the Dee Taylor Agency. For more information, call 724-872-6093. Tickets will also be available at the door for adults at $7and students at $3.
