Monongahela Woman's Club had their first meeting of the Club year on Monday evening, September 8, 20014 at the 1st Presbyterian Church in Monongahela.

Every car cruise has the usual assortment of Corvettes, Mustangs, Chevelles, and the wildly popular Tri-5's (1955-56-57 Chevys). However, at the Thomas Community Pig Roast and Car Cruise, held on August 23 at the Thomas Presbyterian Church on Linden Road in Eighty Four, PA, a few one-of-a-kind vehicles rolled in.


United Way of Mon Valley and Monessen Rostraver Rotary will host a Halloween Masquerade Ball on Saturday, October 25 from 8 p.m. to midnight at Monessen Fireman's No. 1 Social Hall, 15 Eastgate.


On September 9, 2014, City Mission, a local homeless and rehabilitation center, held its 9th Annual Ladies Golf Scramble. At 9 a.m., 140 ladies headed on to the course, teeing off in an effort to end homelessness one life at a time. This event has been held at Fort Cherry Golf Club since 2006.
