Central Volunteer Fire Company of Elizabeth Township is pleased to announce it has received an $840 grant from 84 Lumber. These funds will support the replacement of all wood cribbing utilized in rescue operations and will be carried on Central’s new rescue.
Central Volunteer Fire Company of Elizabeth Township recently took delivery of a new 4 Guys Spartan heavy rescue truck. This rescue truck is designed to carry specialized equipment and personnel to quickly and efficiently respond to various types of rescue situations. The equipment provided through this grant will ensure rescue technicians have the equipment needed to further provide safe and professional services to residents and visitors of Elizabeth Township.
The all-volunteer fire department is excited to be awarded this grant. “We couldn’t be more honored to work with 84 Lumber Company on this project. The Hardy family and everyone at 84 Lumber is always first to help communities, without 84 Lumber this project would not be possible. This is the second time 84 Lumber has contributed to Central, our social hall renovation was also made possible by 84 Lumber in 2013,” said Fire Chief Chris Molinaro.
Central Volunteer Fire Company of Elizabeth Township applied for the grant through 84 Lumber Building Hope program. Since 1956, 84 Lumber has actively supported local, regional charitable organizations through Building Hope.
