Families gathered in the cold to watch the Monessen Halloween Parade on October 27, 2016 at 7 p.m.

These young ladies played the part of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and are (l-r): Caitlyn Phillips, Milana Sacco, Briana Milliero, Alyssia Williams, and Lauren Popovich.

The parade marchers, in a variety of unique and beautiful costumes this year, travelled from Donner Ave. to Parente Blvd. and ended at the EMS building, where prizes were awarded. Also, refreshments and goodies were available for participants. Sponsored by Castle Blood, they had the support of others they wished to thank, including Mayor Mavrakis, City Council, the police department, the fire department with the Mon Valley EMS, the costume judges, and, especially, all who attended.
