These exceptional young musicians showcased their talent and dedication for the second consecutive year, leaving an indelible mark on history. The event took place on July 14 and 15, 2023, with awe-inspiring performances that exemplified the essence of art and community spirit.

"To say we, the MVAA, are proud of these fine young musicians is a major understatement," said Mark Smith, CEO of Mon Valley Academy for the Arts. "Their unwavering commitment to excellence and preserving our rich cultural heritage is commendable. Through their mesmerizing performances, they have kept the arts alive and united the community in a celebration of our shared history."

The MVAA Regimental Fife & Drum unit had the honor of spearheading the opening ceremony for the renowned Gettysburg Battlefield Bash. Their stirring melodies echoed across the hallowed grounds, paying homage to the sacrifices of the past while captivating the hearts of all present. The students' passion for music and history was evident in their every note, transporting the audience back in time and igniting a deep appreciation for the nation's heritage.

In addition to the opening ceremony, the talented musicians graced the State of Pennsylvania Monument with their musical prowess. Standing proudly before this significant monument, they delivered a moving performance that resonated with the location's historical significance, leaving a lasting impression on spectators and dignitaries alike.

President of the Mon Valley Academy for the Arts, Annette Buffer, expressed her admiration for the students' dedication to their craft and positive impact on the community. "These gifted young artists continue to inspire us all with their boundless talent and dedication to their craft," she said.
