The Valley Garden Club, for the fourteenth year, will be awarding a scholarship to assist a student pursuing an education in fields related to the study of horticulture, agriculture, landscape architecture/design, botany, plant pathology, forestry, agronomy, environmental concerns, city planning, land management. One $1,500 scholarship will be awarded for the full academic year and will be given to the student to further his or her education.
Eligible candidates include students attending Belle Vernon, Monessen, California, Frazier, Ringgold, Yough, or Charleroi High Schools. Those students can contact their guidance office for scholarship application and information.
Eligible candidates also include current college or trade school students who will have successfully completed one or more years of study by June 2025 as well as home schooled and adult students. (Students must be in or graduated from the above mentioned school districts.) Those students can contact dbvalleygardenclub@gmail.com for scholarship application and information.
No financial information is needed to apply for this scholarship. This award does not go against any other financial aid received by student. This scholarship may be awarded to the same student for additional years. The application, essay regarding student’s career goals, two recommendations and an official transcript must be received by April 11, 2025.
