Tom Uram, President of the Washington County Coin Club and the Pennsylvania Association of Numisamatists will be guest speaker for the Peters Creek Historical Society on Monda, June 24 at 7:30 pm. The presentation will take place at Wrights United Methodist Church, 788 Venetia Road, Venetia.

Apollo 11, 50th Anniversary Commemorative Silver Dollar.

Uram’s program will center on "Apollo 11 Coinage" minted in commemoration of the 50th Anniversary marking man's first steps on the moon. On July 20, 1969 the world watched as Neil Armstrong and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin made the unprecedented achievement, one that involved the work of about 400,000 Americans and secured our nation as leader in space for generations to come. The public is welcome to join society members for this informative, interesting program.
