The Veteran’s Monument and the Veteran’s Honor Roll Plaque will be formally dedicated at the ceremony attended by local residents, Veterans and representatives of local, county and state government.
The new monument, in large part, was completed through the efforts of resident and Veteran Mr. William Castor who initiated the project and saw it carried to completion with the support of the Union Township Board of Supervisors and local construction businesses including Lawson Excavating, Ron and Cheryl La Brosse and Martik Brothers Construction. The project was funded through contributions solicited by Mr. Castor. Thanks to all who contributed to this project.
The ceremony was to have been part of Union Township Community Day which was cancelled due to insufficient preparation time. The Dedication Ceremony will be the only event on September 8. Light refreshments will be provided after the ceremony.
