Calling all runners...and zombies! The Monessen/Rostraver Rotary Club is sponsoring a Zombie 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, October 21, 2017.
Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the run/walk starts at 9 a.m. in Monessen City Park on Grand Boulevard in Monessen.
Everyone who pre-registers before Friday, September 29 will receive a Zombie 5K t-shirt. Participants can register as a runner/walker or as a zombie. As a zombie, you will be hidden throughout the race to surprise the runners/walkers in passing. Make-up will be included in this registration. Zombies are limited to the first 25 people. All other participants can get minimal zombie makeup work done from the talented students at Douglas Education Center at a cost between $5-10 (cash only).
Registration is $25 per person. Registration also will be accepted the day of the event, but on-site registrations will not receive a t-shirt. Students and children under age 14 can preregister at a discounted rate of $15 with a valid student ID at Valley 1st Community FCU in Monessen. Students and children must be registered by September 29 to guarantee a t-shirt.
