The Rostraver Woman’s Club hosted the 2016 Belle Vernon Area Senior Girls’ Tea, titled “What’s your Special-Tea?” on May 9, 2016 at the Clubhouse Grille.

Secretary Alice Bialon and Mary Stark-Hluben welcomed the young women at the registration table. Vice president Barb Mollenauer, Beata Herold, Tami Brazon and Darla Caley served the women tea and asked about any stories inspiring their hats they were wearing.
President Tamira Spedaliere welcomed the senior girls, teachers, parents, GRC’s Gina C. Lynn, and club members. She reminded the graduating women to thank their parents, family and friends for helping to make them special. Spedaliere quoted Stevie Wonder, stating, “We all have the ability. The difference is how we use it.”
Melanie Patterson served as the Mistress of Ceremonies and gave the invocation. Gina C. Lynn, Executive Director of the Greater Rostraver Chamber of Commerce, was the guest speaker. She stressed the importance of how we need more women leaders.
Barbara Vandermer presented the Rostraver Woman’s Club Young Women of Service Awards to Aubrey Cintron, Tracy Lovett, and Robinette Vitez. The three young women were presented with flowers, a monetary gift, and a book donated to the Belle Vernon Area School library in their honor. Each young woman was asked to write an inspiration message in the book for future students to read.
Stephanie McHugh, BVA Director of Counseling Services, briefly addressed the seniors about being successful. Secretary Bialon gave a closing message to the graduating young women.
