The Charthene Club met on February 4,2016 at the Charleroi Area School Alumni Room. In the absence of President Diane Nonack, First Vice President Kathleen Umble opened the dinner meeting. Pasty Brinker said the invocation, and the business portion of the meeting commenced.

Britany Claybaugh

Britany Claybaugh was named as February Girl of the Month. Claybaugh is a highest honor student and has been inducted into the NHS. She has served as president of the History Club, treasurer for the Executive Committee, Student Council and SADD, and has received many awards; she is also involved in clean-up days, coat drive, blood drive, and Relay for Life. Her future plans are to attend Robert Morris University to earn a communications degree.

The meeting ended with the members each leaving with a box of Valentine's Day candy.
