We all have heard of the old-fashioned Christmas experience of going to the woods and cutting the family Christmas tree. Martins would like to invite you and your family (and pets) to visit our 82-acre Christmas tree farm to experience that family tradition.

The farm has thousands of trees, and the varieties are as follows: Fraser Fir, Douglas Fir, Concolor (white fir), Canaan Fir, Colorado Blue Spruce, Grand Fir, and a limited amount of white pine. You will find all sizes growing, and the Spruce trees are available with root balls for planting. In addition to trees, there are fresh wreaths and bundles of greens and holly available.

You may cut your tree, or we will cut it for you. Be ready for quite a bit of walking, but, if you have trouble walking, there is a red wagon that makes its rounds for those wanting a tour or a ride. A large display of cut trees is available for viewing the different types, and these are available for purchase. Hot dogs and hot cocoa await you after your tree is at the sales area.

As a remembrance of your tree farm experience, we will take your group’s picture. Your pictures will be emailed to you next November to remind you of the coming season free of charge if you provide your email address.

Our address is 699 Porter McNutt Ln., Belle Vernon. The farm is open on weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) starting after Thanksgiving. The hours are from 10 a.m. to dusk. Call 412-496-7827 with questions and visit us online at www.martinschristmastreefarm.com.
