It may be snowing, icy and cold but we're thinking spring, and one way to do this is getting prepared for the 2015 season of the Monongahela Farmers' Market.

The Committee is starting to contact the farmers, vendors and sponsors for another great season. We are sure that the public is looking forward to the fresh fruits, vegetables and goodies that they bring to our city. We also look forward to the entertainment that will be provided.

The Monongahela Farmers' Market will start Friday, 3 – 6 p.m. June 12 and run through September 25. In the past we have provided money to different projects like buying speakers for the renovated gazebo at Chess Park and giving out vouchers to the food bank for their clients to use at the market. We hope to the same this year, but we need the help of sponsors to do that. If you or your business would like to help us please contact us. Your name will be in our advertisements, signs and media sites.

We love having a variety of vendors for the market, so is you or anyone you know would like to sell food (need a PA license) please contact us. Also if anyone wants to be a volunteer, it's easy - please contact us via Facebook at Monongahela Farmers Market, email chaneysadmin@gmail.com or call us at 724-328-2834.
