Monongahela Valley Hospital staff donated a record-breaking amount of non-perishable goods for local food banks in the 2014 Scouting for Food campaign.

This year's grand total of 12,255 units collected was the highest amount since 2007. Additionally, the hospital's staff on 5-W collected the most units with 1,020.

Donated goods are counted using a unit system that encourages more nutritious donations. Four local food banks received the food.

Mr. Anderson is also a board member of The Fayette City Christian Missionary Alliance Church, which houses the Fayette City Food Bank.
