Litter along the roads. Trash dumped over a hill. What can be done about it?  Allegheny CleanWays will try to answer that question when a representative comes to speak at the Elizabeth Township Historical Society on Thursday, March 14.

The speaker will talk about volunteer events to eliminate illegal dumping and litter in the county at the meeting starting at 6:30PM in the historical society’s headquarters museum and office located at 5811 Smithfield Street in Elizabeth Township.

CleanWays, a non-profit group, sets up volunteer days to clean riverfronts, alleys and neighborhoods as a way to celebrate birthdays or other holiday.

Also, individuals interested in getting involved in the summer activities at the 1790 Greenock Log House should attend as well as anyone interested in membership. For details, call 412-807-8452.
