Established in 1926, Route 66 is one of the country’s most famous highways. Traveling from Chicago, Illinois toSanta Monica, California, it covers over 2,400 miles. The route was used by many who migrated west during the 1900s and has been popularized in songs, TV series, and even the Faulkner novel, The Grapes of Wrath.
