Will Be Part Of The New Express 3 Local Route
The Mid Mon Valley Transit Authority (MMVTA) has announced an upcoming service adjustment that will provide mon valley residents access to Monessen hill.
The new bus stop will be located by the Monessen Senior Center, and will be a part of the new ‘Express 3’ Local Route which will cover Donora, Monessen, Monessen Hill, Mon Valley Hospital, Rostraver Shopping, and Fisher Heights Giant Eagle.
The MMVTA made these service adjustments after having a system-wide review that included public feedback, ridership figures and cost efficiencies. The MMVTA shifted hours from less productive trips to allow for this new service which will provide more access to shopping and the hospital. The service adjustments will take effect on August 19, 2019.
