The Town and Country Garden Club, of Rices Landing, Scholarship Committee has chosen Joseph Kurincak from the Carmichaels Area High School Class of 2019 as the recipient of their $1,000 scholarship, presented annually to a qualifying student.

Kurincak ranks 4th in his class of 61 graduating students and has held a 3.982 GPA. He is planning to attend The Pennsylvania State University in State College, PA., majoring in Environmental Systems Engineering. Joey has participated in several academic organizations including Envirothon, National Honor Society, Academic League, and Quarterbacks for Life. Joey won first place in a local writing competition, and 2nd place at the state level. He is a focused, hardworking, and self-motivated individual with determination and excellent work ethics.
