The Pooch Parade was hosted by the Monongahela Area Revitalization Corp. (MARCRegistration began at 10:00 AM the parade started at 11:00 AM. A pooch-inspired party took place at Chess Park, and prizes were awarded in many categories. 38 dogs in all were registered and each received a treat bag. Festivities included dog-related vendors and exhibits, food booths, and a basket auction.

The Pooch Parade is held annually in memory of Susan Withers, who started the event 11 years ago to celebrate her love of dogs and to bring a family event to the Mon Valley.
