The Catholic Women's College Club held their April meeting in Jozwiak Hall in Monessen.

 

CWCC Scholarship
Emily La Carte is the 2018 CWCC Scholarship recipient.

Donna Pustelak, chairperson for the club's scholarship committee, announced high school senior Emily La Carte as the awardee. Emily was one of 15 candidates vying for the CWCC annual scholarship.

Following her introduction to the members, Emily delivered a very impressive biography of herself. She is a 2018 graduate of Charleroi High School, graduating at the top of her class with a 4.7 GPA. She is very active in high school, participating in academic, athletic and extracurricular activities.

La Carte is a member of Mary, Mother of the Church in Charleroi where she participates in various ministries.

She plans on attending the prestigious Smeal College of Business at Penn State University, main campus at University Park. Her career goal is to work in the corporate business world.

La Carte is the daughter of Michael and Susan La Carte of Charleroi.

The next CWCC meeting will take place on May 7 at 5:45 p.m. at the Mon Valley Country Club to celebrate their annual banquet. New members are welcome.
