Calvary Bible Church in North Charleroi, 990 4th Ext., pulled together to hold a great family-oriented Easter Eggstravaganza, despite the fact they were currently without a pastor.

Terri Greenlee stands behind Linda Robb, who both helped to make the day possible.

The 3rd annual event was held on Sunday, March 25, 2018, from 5 -7 p.m. in the church’s social hall, for the children. Featured were the following: Easter crafts, treat-filled bags, refreshments, face-painting, games and prizes, a bounce house, food, and photos with the Easter Bunny.

In charge of the Eggstravaganza was Terri Greenlee from Fisher Heights, one of the youth coordinators, who says the event began as a small Easter egg hunt years

ago. She also notes she has a lot of help, including administrative assistant Julia Sanders and Linda Robb, helper at church and junior church coordinator.

Robb said of the evening, “I think it’s great. It’s fun. We get kids from all over the city.”

On April 8, the parishioners voted to elect a new pastor, since Pastor Neill left almost a year ago. Pastor Brian Blais will be instated at the Charleroi Calvary Bible Church sometime in May. Over the past year, he church has been relying on different guest speakers. Nevertheless, the Bible-believing church has remained strong in attendance. They celebrated their 50th anniversary in August 2013 and opened at their new building in 1999.

For more information on the church’s other activities, call the church’s office at 724-483-6108.
