Jan Green of Calvary Chapel South Pittsburgh (CCSP) assisted in organizing the church's Operation Christmas Child get-together. The group included children, teen, and adults.
CCSP filled 155 shoe boxes with gifts to be delivered to children around the world. |
They worked side-by-side filling shoe boxes with toys, fun accessories, cups, and even flashlights. From CCSP, the boxes are taken to the Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church. From there they are picked up by the group Operation Christmas Child and delivered to children who have been affected by poverty, war, and natural disasters. Green explained, “These boxes go all over the world; sometimes down the sides of mountains on donkeys.” The group filled 155 shoe boxes, and some people took additional shoe boxes home to fill.
