When a cancer diagnosis is received, a new chapter in life begins for people that can bring worries and fear. To help people be better prepared, Monongahela Valley Hospital (MVH) will host a three-part survivorship series about life after cancer.
The survivorship program is part of the Innovations in Medicine Living Well Series and will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 6, Wednesday, Sept. 13 and Tuesday, Sept. 19. All sessions will be at 6 p.m. in the Anthony M. Lombardi Education Conference Center and last approximately one hour. Participants will receive free parking and light refreshments.
The programming for the sessions will include topics on radiology testing resources, steps after diagnosis, life after diagnosis, financial issues, survivorship, nutrition and exercise.
