The Monongahela Area Historical Society is hosting a "ye Old Auction on the Green" on Saturday, September 9 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

This free event will feature and old-fashioned auction in Chess Park complete with costumed volunteers from the Historical Society who will greet you and conduct this fun-filled day. The auction will take place rain or shine.

This will be a colonial style auction similar to the ones held in the colonies during the 1700’s. The auction will include antiques, furniture, collectibles, new and modern items! There also will be vendors selling delicious food and unique products. This fundraiser is part of the society’s “Keep the Museum Open” Campaign. Those who plan to attend should bring their own lawn chairs.
