The SWPA RN Club installed officers at the May 9, 2017 luncheon. New officers are: President- Carol Wind, Vice President - Carol Bass, Treasurer - Stephanie Gardiner, Recording Secretary - Ann Trageser, and Corresponding Secretary - Barbara Capezio.

The Club also awarded five scholarships in May. The criteria is based on academic standing, merit and need. Applicants' official home of residence must be in one of the following counties: Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Washington and Westmoreland. An applicant must be entering his or her senior year in a diploma, associate degree, bachelor degree or final semester of a graduate nursing program.
- Mary Agnes Powers/SWPA RN Club - Rachel Campion, who is attending West Virginia Wesleyan College Elizabeth Woodland/SWPA RN Club - Sydney Cargill, who is attending Duquesne University
- Hildegard Sullivan/SWPA RN Club - Chelsea Sanders, who is attending Washington Health System School of Nursing
- SWPA RN Club - Rachel Slobodnyak, who is attending Western Pennsylvania Hospital School of Nursing
- SWPA RN Club - Melissa Wagner, who is attending Wheeling Jesuit University
The 18th Annual Scholarship Fund Raiser Card Party will be held on Saturday September 30, 2017 at the South Hills Country Club. All proceeds will be used for scholarships in 2018. Detailed information will follow at a later date.
