The Monongahela Area Chamber of Commerce, EQT along with Bowser Automotive and local business owners are proud to continue this year’s Independence Day celebration. The fireworks extravaganza will be held Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at the Monongahela Aquatorium.

Entertainment will begin at 6 p.m. with the fireworks display at 9:45 p.m. A rain date of July 5 has been scheduled.

The firework display will be professionally fired by Pyrotecnico, Inc. This event is solely funded by Chamber members, private donations, service clubs and organizations throughout the community.

Various food vendors, game trailers, and glow-in-the-dark products will be available during the evening. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES are permitted on the premises, no firecrackers and no glow-in-the-dark products may be sold. NO BICYCLES, NO SCOOTERS, NO SKATE BOARDS, AND NO PETS ARE PERMITED AT THE AQUATORIUM.

Members of the Chamber of Commerce will be collecting donations, selling glow products and chances for a 50/50 raffle. The winner of the 50/50 raffle will be announced prior to the fireworks.

Residents are strongly reminded to avoid the fireworks display site along Bunola River Road. Local police will be fining all stopped vehicles. The fireworks display will not commence until all federal regulations are followed. The US Coast Guard will close the river to all recreational boaters from 9:30 p.m. until 10:15 p.m. All federal and coast guard waterway regulations will be strictly enforced!

Donations should be sent to the Monongahela Area Chamber of Commerce, 212 West Main Street, Monongahela, PA 15063. Please make checks payable to MACC and mark it as ‘fireworks donation.’
