The Oliver Miller Homestead of South Park, PA was well-represented in the parade and at the festival.

The festival opened on Thursday with the Main Street Farmers' Market and Health Fair, free tours of the historic David Bradford and Le Moyne Houses and gardens, and a free performance by the Washington Symphony Orchestra. Blues, Brews, and BBQ Night was held on Friday with a free concert featuring some of the best local musicians. A parade on Main Street kicked off Saturday’s activities followed by reenactments featuring some of the areas top historical groups, tastings, a live tar and feathering, Americana Heritage music, and fireworks. Sunday featured the the 12th Annual Classics on Main Car Show on Main Street and encampments and historical demonstrations at Washington Park.

The Whiskey Rebellion began in 1791 due to an excise tax that included whiskey that farmers had been distilling for additional profit. Approximately one quarter of the nation’s stills were located in southwest Pennsylvania.
