Finleyville Resident Rocks The House at NAMM Convention

Jake Gerba of Finleyville took his bass guitar playing skills to the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) convention in Anaheim, California this past January. NAMM is the world's largest trade-show for music products and pro audio in the industry and is attended by over 100,000 people each year.

A crowd gathers to watch Finleyville Resident Jake Gerba plays the bass guitar at the NAMM Convention in Anaheim California.

Gerba has made a name for himself through his Instagram account which has gained over 30,000 followers. One of those followers just happened to be the head of the Peavey Electronics Corporation, an industry leader in music gear and pro audio. The Peavey Corporation took notice of Jake's bass playing and flew him out to the NAMM show so that he could play and demo their products at their booth. He drew large crowds at the booth each day, wowing them with his 70’s inspired Funk bass playing. He also got the chance to meet a few famous musicians, including Michael Anthony formerly of Van Halen, Buck Dharma of Blue Oyster Cult, and Doug Wimbish of Living Colour. You can feel the funk for yourself by following Jake on Instragram: @jakegerba.
