Right Worshipful Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania S. Eugene Herritt has appointed Robert John Slater Jr., of Pittsburgh, Pa., the District Deputy Grand Master for Masonic District 47.

Slater’s role is to support Masonic programs and policies, oversee operations of the 10 Masonic lodges within his district, counsel and advise members and arbitrate concerns. District 47 includes Bethel Park, Carnegie, Dravosburg, McKeesport, Oakdale, Pittsburgh and Pleasant Hills.
Slater is a graduate of Langley High School and earned an Associate’s degree in business from Community College of Allegheny County. He is a plumbing supervisor for Plumbers Local Union No. 27. He is a member of Centennial-Lafayette Lodge No. 544, Carnegie, as well as several additional Masonic organizations, and attends The Log Church.
