Angela Dastolfo, a graduate of Monessen High School, has been chosen as the recipient of the ‘School Nurse Excellence Award’ for the Southwestern Region of Pennsylvania for 2019.

Her peers have nominated her for her outstanding service to the students and staff of the school she serves. Angela is a school nurse at Burrell High School and Middle school.
The School Nurse Excellence Award will be presented to Angela on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 6:00PM at the Penn State Conference Center, in State College, Pa. This award entitles Angela to be eligible for the prestigious National Association of School Nurses 2020 Pennsylvania School Nurse of the Year Award.
Angela is married to LeRoy Dastolfo, also a MHS graduate, and Chemical engineer at Alcoa. They have three children, Maria Barefoot of Johnstown, Christina Hromack of Pittsburgh , and Nicholas Dastolfo of Pittsburgh. Angela is the daughter of Mary Elenitsas and the late Nicholas G. Elenitsas.
