The Annual Spring Book Sale held by the Friends of South Park Township Library, in the South Park Township Community Center, is scheduled for Thursday evening, April 16 from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, April 17 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 18, the ever-popular "$5 a Bag Day" from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Please continue to keep "Friends" in mind by saving your books and miscellaneous items, which can be brought to the South Park Township Library. Until you donate, please keep all items in a clean, dry area, free of dirt, dust and mold so to be in good saleable condition. Also, due to limited space in the library lobby, if possible, please place items in boxes for easier storage.
Items greatly appreciated for the sale are the following: all hardback and paperback books; old records; albums; books on tape; audio music tapes; CDs; DVDs; video tapes; video games; computer and electronic games and programs; games; puzzles; toys and stuffed animals. Games, puzzles and toys should contain all parts and pieces and placed in taped up boxes.
Friends do not accept small Reader's Digests, National Geographics, jewelry or flea market/garage sale items. Computer books, programs, discs, business or tax publications, manuals and directories should be no older than one year. Encyclopedia sets, no matter what the age, are no longer being accepted for the sales. These items can be recycled from your home on recyclable days or dropped off at your local recyclable bins.
All proceeds for the Friends book sale benefits the South Park Township Library. For further information on Friends, please visit the web site at www.southparklibrary.org/spfriends.htm.
