Monongahela Elks Lodge 455 Named MACC Business of the Month

The Elks Grand Lodge presented the Monongahela Elks Lodge #455 with its Charter on December 13, 1898. The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the USA is a fraternal organization made up of the Grand Lodge with headquarters in Chicago IL and over 1,000 Lodges throughout the country. Their main principles are Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love and Fidelity. Elk members work on programs for Veterans Services, Drug Awareness, Essay and Poster Contests and many more. Their Pennsylvania state project is the Home Service Nursing Project benefiting children and young adults. This program has nurses that are paid for by donations from Elks Lodges, grants and money from the Elks National Foundation, who travel throughout the state providing services at no charge to our clients.

Over the years, Monongahela Elks Lodge #455 has made cash donations to the Monongahela Area Library, Local Fire Departments, Tri-Community Ambulance, the Monongahela Ministerium, Valley Food Banks, Monongahela Women’s Club, Monongahela Senior Citizens, Sheppard Heart Homeless Veterans Shelter, Monongahela Police K-9, the Chapel Restoration Fund, purchased benches for Chess Park and other community projects.

Please continue to support their fundraisers, Dinner Nights, Cash Bashes, Dances and more, to allow them to continue doing charitable work. Call 724-258-5655 for information about becoming a member
