The Community College of Allegheny County continues to expand its evening and weekend class offerings to give students the benefit of a flexible schedule that fits with their lifestyle. Ideal for individuals who have jobs or juggle busy family routines, the classes enable students to further their educational goals on their own time and in the ways that best suit their needs. The Rutledge Institute for Early Childhood Education preschool, located on the campus of California University of Pennsylvania, recently celebrated the graduation of 10 children. It’s off to kindergarten for the Class of 2021 this fall.

PA Cyber Class of 2021 graduated 1,252 students. The Class Representative was Sarah Seader of Centerville. Sarah is the daughter of Linda and Stanley Seader. She spoke at the virtual graduation on June 8 and the two in-person Graduations at Robert Morris University on June 11. Her speech was titled, “Choices, Dreams, and Opportunities”.

California University of Pennsylvania will have new leadership as it begins implementing a plan to integrate with Clarion and Edinboro universities. Recently the Board of Governors for Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education announced the appointment of Dr. Dale-Elizabeth Pehrsson as interim president of Cal U, effective Aug. 1.
