The program was organized by Tom Jenkins, Mark Joswick and Roslyn Simonin in conjunction Charleroi Area School District officials. Members of the 1962 squad received commemorative DVDs, posters and booklets and took part in a pre-game social at the Alumni Room. Mayor John Mollenauer of Charleroi issued a proclamation declaring September 5, 2014 as "Cougars '62 Day" in the community.
