Life Service Providers (LSP) is proud to announce its 5th Annual Senior Health and Wellness Fair on Tuesday, September 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Galleria of Mt. Lebanon.

Some of the benefits of attending this fair include food demonstrations, health screenings, flu shots, over 50 healthcare and community resource vendors, prizes and giveaways.

As you know, we meet for a delicious lunch, prepared at the Canonsburg Senior Center and taken by our volunteers to our Center and served by our voluntary kitchen staff for all to enjoy. All are welcomed - all that is needed is a reservation by calling 724- 941-6956 a few days before.

Seniors for Safe Driving presents highway safety education programs for senior citizens 55 years of age and older. The highway safety programs are certified by the Pennsylvania Dept. of Transportation. The successful completion of the program makes seniors eligible for a 5% discount on their automobile insurance premiums, across the board, for a period of three years. The discount is mandated by PA state law.

LifeSpan's Chartiers Senior Resource Center will be hosting a Casino Hop on September 21 and 22. The bus departs Chartiers Senior Center, located at 300 Lincoln Ave., Carnegie at 8:30 a.m.

The first stop will be The Rivers Casino, where you will get a $15 free play and a $5 food credit. Included is a one-night stay at Mountaineer Park where you will receive a $20 free play and a $20 food credit. The next stop is the Meadows Casino where you will receive a $15 free play and a $5 food voucher. And finally, there is a stop at Sarris Candy for a sundae of your choice.
