Seniors

The Bible Chapel in Peters Township will host the second annual "Living Younger: Senior & Caregiver Information Festival" on Saturday, October 11, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Family Life Center at the South Hills campus at 300 Gallery Drive in McMurray.

Exhibitors at the Senior Fair will provide information on many aspects of the senior lifestyle. Local businesses range from information and referral sources to senior living, home care, and health care options. In addition, this fair is meant to offer a new twist on the typical senior fair – it is a festival with food, music, multiple giveaways, youth presence, and much more!

Festival activities include seminars on healthy aging, senior living options, spiritual topics, marriage in retirement, elderlaw issues, and others. Pick one or more to attend throughout the festival or just hang out with friends and family and eat some refreshments! Various health screenings will also be available at no charge.

"Our goal is to provide a festive and fun atmosphere for seniors and their families while still providing the community with resources that they need. 'Living Younger' is the title of the festival because research is increasingly showing that if we commit to a good diet, regular exercise and have a greater purpose, we can actually live more energetic and productive lives," says Wayne Johnson, Pastor of Older Adults at The Bible Chapel. "This Senior Festival is designed to address the needs of the whole person."

Admission is free and open to the public. Stop by to pick up information for yourself, friends or your loved ones. Refreshments and food will be available at a low cost.

If you are a senior service provider and wish to attend as an exhibitor, please contact The Bible Chapel or the media contacts below as soon as possible.
