A select group of eighth grade students at Pleasant Hills Middle School created and produced a video depicting what makes manufacturing cool for the Catalyst Connection video competition.

Catalyst Connection created the ‘Explore the New Manufacturing’ student video contest to help build a strong pipeline of talent and give young people a new perspective on the exciting career opportunities that exist now in manufacturing.
Students at Pleasant Hills Middle School toured the Kurt J. Lesker Company in Jefferson Hills and interviewed various employees to gather research and record video footage for their final video production. Students were honored at a special awards ceremony at Heinz Field for their creative efforts.
