Mrs. Moranelli's first grade class at Ringgold Elementary School North (RESN) read the stories "Sea Animals" and “Starfish.” The class enjoyed the stories very much. They were very impressed by the stories’ illustrations, done by artist Robin Brinkman.

Ms. Brinkman is a talented illustrator of many books about animals and nature. She uses vibrant colors and pays close attention to details when illustrating a book.

As a class project, the students wrote to Robin Brinkman and asked questions about her artwork. They were pleasantly surprised when a week later they received a package from Ms. Brinkman that contained a letter answering their questions, posters, and books she had illustrated, to be added to our classroom library.

The class was so excited about the response to their letter and hopes to write to other authors and illustrators in the future.
