Elizabeth Forward’s Greenock Elementary School Collects Donations for Project Bundle Up

By Michelle Taylor

On Monday, September 28, Greenock Elementary School, part of the Elizabeth Forward School District, asked all their students to wear a hat to school and bring a $1 donation for Project Bundle Up.

The student body, which consists of about 225 kids, raised over $325. Their donation was presented on Wednesday, September 30 to Project Bundle Up, a charity sponsored by WTAE that aims to help children in the Pittsburgh area in need of coats, gloves, hats, scarves, and boots.

Normally, Greenock Elementary School does their own coat drive every year to take care of students in the district, but this is the second year they have collected for the charity.

Jennifer Meliton, principal of the school, says, "This charity helps thousands of needy children and I am so proud of our small little school for their generosity with their donations!"
