School News

The Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians has announced the topic for their annual history writing contest. The topic for both levels is: “The involvement of women in the Easter Rising.” The Easter Rising was a very significant event in Irish history.

Level 1 includes grades 6, 7, and 8 with a top prize of $500. Level 2 includes grades 9, 10, 11 and 12 with a top prize of $1,000. Students in parochial, private, public schools or who are home-schooled are eligible to participate. Entries must be submitted by November 15, 2015.
