School News

If your child is 3 to 5 years old, he or she may be eligible to receive a free preschool experience with the Westmoreland County Head start program.

This program includes preschool classroom experiences, socialization and developmentally appropriate activities in a supervised and nurturing environment, nutritious meals, personalized home visits with trained staff, group meetings and volunteer opportunities for families, information and guidance on child development, effective discipline, constructive play, safety, health and nutrition.

Head Start also provides vision, hearing, speech, developmental screenings and support services for children with special needs, all free of charge.
