Saint Sebastian Church in Belle Vernon has announced its 2nd Annual Autumnfest will be held October 11 - 12 on the parish grounds. The event features multiple activities for the entire mid-Mon Valley community including a 'first of its kind' attraction for our area.

St. Thomas A' Becket Parish will host their 8th Annual Golf Outing at South Hills Country Club on Columbus Day, October 13.

Tradition tells us that St. Francis of Assisi introduced the practice of the blessing of animals in the 13th century. It was his way of reminding us that animals are also part of God's creation, and many churches still follow this practice.

The Sinners Only Men's Breakfast Club, sponsored by the Pricedale Union Church, located at 203 Johnson Ave. in Belle Vernon, had its kickoff session for the 2014-15 season with a patriotic presentation from a group of the Mid-Mon Valley Shipmates.
