Fells United Methodist Church in Rostraver Township (Fellsburg) has welcomed a new Pastor. Rev. Bruce K. Merritt has come from Nixon UMC in Butler. He has been a pastor for 36 years and has served in Scottdale, Tionesta, Claysville, Oil City and Butler.
Pastor Merritt is originally from Mercer, PA. He graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan College with a degree in psychology and Bible and religion. He received a master's degree in divinity at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. He has served on District Boards of ordained Ministry, Lay Servant Ministries and education committees, enjoys teaching, and serves as a clergy mentor.
