The public is invited to Saint Sebastian Church in Belle Vernon for Octoberfest Weekend. Events will kick off Saturday, October 3 with an Octoberfest Dinner Dance. The dinner dance will feature Pittsburgh’s Ultimate Show and Dance Band, The Holidays.
The Holidays, who have opened for a number of major entertainers, perform a wide range of music from the ‘50s, ‘60s, ‘70s, Motown, R&B and Disco.
Doors will open at the Saint Sebastian Parish Center at 6 p.m. Dinner will be served by 2Fine Caterer and features chicken picatta, bistro beef medallions, penne marinara, vegetables, salad, rolls and dessert. Beer, wine and pop will be available for purchase. Tickets are $30 each and can be purchased at the Saint Sebastian Parish Office or at Trombino Music Center in Belle Vernon.
Ticket sales are in advance only. Tickets will not be available at the door.
On Sunday, October 4, Octoberfest continues on the parish grounds for all. Homemade ethnic foods will be sold along with hot dogs, hamburgers, bratwurst, kielbasa, and other festival items. There will be entertainment, bingo, face painting and pumpkin painting for the kids. Since the Steelers are off, big screen televisions will feature a ‘vintage’ Steelers game. We will also offer tickets for sale for our parish raffle, our basket raffle, lottery trees, half the take, and our famous bake sale!
Proceeds from the Saint Sebastian Octoberfest Weekend will be used to offset the cost of a new air conditioning system that is needed for the church. For more information about the Saint Sebastian Octoberfest, call 724-929-9300.
