What’s a “fly in”? Light aircraft owners have been invited to “fly in” to Finleyville Airport to spend an afternoon with other aircraft owners and become acquainted with Finleyville Airport and the facilities that are available there – fuel, hanger space, tie-downs, repairs, etc.
The airpark will be open to the general public as well (no admission charge), and you’ll be provided an opportunity to inspect some of the aircraft close up. Invitations have also been sent out to life flight and the military, so depending on their schedules, a life flight and blackhawk helicopter may touch down at the airport as well.
The airpark will be open to the public and to fly-ins on Sunday, July 2 from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. A food vendor will be on hand as well if you want to purchase a light lunch while there. The Finleyville Airpark is on Airport Road which can be accessed from Route 88 just South of Finleyville or from Finleyville/Venetia Road. Just watch for the airport sign once on Airport Road.
