The members of the Auxiliary of Mon-Vale Health Resources, Inc. are always busy raising money for Monongahela Valley Hospital. From operating the gift shop to planning and working the seasonal festivals and merchandise/food sales, the Auxilians are present at the hospital daily.

More than 100 people attended the Linen Ingathering hosted by Auxiliary of Mon-Vale Health Resources, Inc. at Monongahela Valley Hospital on May 2.

On May 2, the Auxiliary hosted its traditional Linen Ingathering Luncheon in the Anthony M. Lombardi Education Conference Center to raise funds for the Hospital. Many years ago, the event began as a tea but has grown into a full luncheon that is enjoyed by many.

“Tradition is important to not only the Auxiliary but the entire Mon Valley region,” said Auxiliary President Kay Blair. “When the Linen Ingathering Tea was first introduced, its purpose was to raise funds to provide supplemental linens for the Hospital’s use. However, throughout the years the Hospital’s needs changed, but we still hold a luncheon that we call the Linen Ingathering to raise funds for the purchase of patient care equipment and items.”
